Meet the Team Behind the Operation
Our Story
The Severson Ag legacy began with Virginia’s father, Bill, who owned and operated the farm. In 1988, Virginia’s husband, Tom, took over the business, with Virginia managing its finances and bookkeeping.
In 2009, they transitioned leadership to Marc, a veteran and third-generation farmer who had learned the business from an early age, and is supported by his wife, Stephanie, the treasurer.
Today, Severson Ag is a veteran-owned, family-operated business that is built on generational knowledge, thoughtful stewardship, and a mission for leaving the land better than it was found.

CEO
A third-generation farmer and former Army officer, Marc leads Severson Ag with a focus on operational efficiency, sound business decisions, and long-term stewardship of the land.

Stephanie Severson
Treasurer
Stephanie holds a master's degree from Northern Illinois University and oversees the farm's finances and administration. Outside the business, she directs the Junior Indians youth cheerleading program.

Kyle Reid
Service Manager
Kyle brings hands-on experience in agricultural equipment operation and diesel mechanics. From fieldwork to equipment repairs, he helps keep the operation moving through every season.

Matt Wagenecht
Crop Manager
A Certified Crop Adviser and FAA-certified drone pilot, Matt combines practical agronomy with field research and technology. He's particularly interested in testing conventional thinking against real-world results.

Adam Dantuma
Senior Farm Operator
Adam brings over a decade of experience with the Rockford Fire Department, where he now serves as a lieutenant. At Severson Ag, he applies that same hands-on leadership and practical problem-solving to daily field operations and equipment management.

Assistant Crop Manager
Aurora is beginning her career in agriculture with Severson Ag, learning crop management and field operations alongside the experienced members of the team.
